Reporting an emergency

If you have an emergency and need immediate assistance, please dial 911.

 

After you contact emergency services and are safe, please feel free to use our customer in-app reporting feature to notify our Trust & Safety team about your recent experience. 

 

To report a safety incident— 

  1. Select Get help on the relevant order.
  2. Select Report safety issue under Other issues.
  3. Select the issue(s) you experienced and provide any additional information.
  4. Select Submit.

Substance abuse support

Instacart has several processes and resources to safely deliver alcohol, prevent underage drinking, and encourage responsible alcohol decisions. If alcohol is harming you or someone you know, it may be time to seek advice from a professional. Reach out to your primary care provider or use one of the resources listed below.

  • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a worldwide organization of individuals struggling with alcoholism. AA members strive for sobriety through a 12-step program. AA operates as a non-profit, non-denominational, apolitical, and unaffiliated entity. The focus is on abstinence-based recovery from alcoholism.
  • Alcohol Help offers insights on alcohol addiction and recovery, as well as access to treatment resources. 
  • SMART Recovery is a globally recognized non-profit organization focused on Self-Management and Recovery Training that offers support to those struggling with substance misuse. 
  • National Institute on Drug Abuse is a U.S. federal government research institute that educates the public about  drug use and addiction to enhance individual and public health.
