Accessing personal information

You can request a copy of your personal information here.

If you can't access your account, you can email a request to customerprivacy@instacart.com.

You can authorize a third party (an “Authorized Agent”) to submit an access request. Authorized Agents must submit the customer’s request, information to verify the customer’s identity (as explained in the Privacy Policy), and proof of authorization to customerprivacy@instacart.com. Proof of authorization can be a Power of Attorney document or the customer’s written authorization.

Users with an Instacart for Business (ICB) account may use the same process to access their business account related personal information.

Deleting personal information

All active users, inactive users, business users (subject to limitations), and Authorized Agents can use Your Privacy Choices to request deletion.

ICB users who request deletion should be aware of the fact that deletion will result in deletion of their business information such as past receipts. For dedicated (non-linked) ICB accounts, only admin users have the ability to delete.

Information sharing rights

In certain US states and Canadian provinces, you may be able to opt-out or opt-in to sharing your personal information with third parties.

Customers can opt out or see if they qualify by visiting Your Privacy Choices in the Instacart app or website.

The information sharing rights are also available to users with ICB accounts, depending on their location.

Right to appeal

Certain customers can appeal if Instacart doesn't respond to a privacy request within 45 days.

Review our Privacy Policy for more information.
